After his tenure as the Presiding Magistrate of the Second Court of the Federal Conciliation and Arbitration Tribunal, and in addition to his activities with the firm, Mr. Cantón Moller served as an external consultant for the Ministry of Labor and Social Prevision (Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social) during the 1999-2000 period. He is the author of several texts on Labor Law. On December 10, 1998, the labor authorities awarded him the National Labor Law Award (Premio Nacional de Derecho Laboral). On 2001 he was designated Ad Vitam President of the Mexican Academy of Procedural Labor Law.
